INDIA is expecting bumper production of small cardamom this season as a result of favourable weather. The country's Spices Board has pegged the current crop - for which harvesting started this month - to reach 11,000 tonnes, which would be substantially ahead of the 2008 crop of around 9,500 tonnes.
