SMALL variety cardamom output in India is likely to fall by a quarter in 2006-07 (April-March) from the previous year due to unfavourable weather, according to some growers. Erratic rains in June then strong winds in major producing areas in Kerala and Tamil Nadu are the main reasons for lower output, the growers added.
