INDIAN spice exports are still ahead of the previous year's pace for the first seven months of the season but the pace tailed off somewhat in October. For the April to October period, preliminary data showed exports grew by 6% in volumes to 317,280 tonnes from 299,250 tonnes a year earlier, while the value rose by 13% to Rs36.85bn from Rs32.6bn.
